Nikolay Petrov co-founded Kerberus Ltd.
For 4 years Nikolay worked for Ernst & Young’s Technology and Security Risk Services practice. His professional experience includes more than 10 years of extensive working in the field of information security and 17 years in the sphere of information technology.
Nikolay has recently been involved in different information security projects for major Russian and western companies in Oil, Financial, Telecoms, and Production sectors. During these projects Nikolay has conducted a large number of IT audit projects, policies and procedures development and implementation, risk assessment reviews, and security diagnostic tests on clients’ IT networks, both internal and external.
During his information security career, Nikolay has conducted a large number of information security presentations during public events, i.e., Annual International Internet Forum, International Conference "E-Business in Russia", CiscoExpo, InfoSecurity, etc.
Nikolay is the author of the regular information security publications for the following magazines: CIO, Intelligent Enterprise, LAN Magazine, Mobile Systems.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Nikolay was the Information Security Officer at a major blue chip company, responsible for information security for the company’s three factories and 24 regional representations in Russia.
Nikolay is a MIS Training Institute instructor.
Nikolay is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). For more than 18 months, Nikolay was the only Certified Information Systems Security Professional in Russia.
At present Nikolay is the only Russian Common Body of Knowledge instructor for (ISC)2 (International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium). (ISC)2 represents the most recognized information security certification (CISSP) in more than 110 countries.
